Let’s get started!

This is the most perfect first blog post I could do.
I just recently had a baby – Sam. He is now 4 months old.  I have been going along day by day just doing what needs to be done. Then one day I realized that my days were happening to me. I would get things finished (or not) and the day would end. Everything was okay really. However, something was missing.   I felt out of control, which I don’t like.

Sam will sleep until at least 10 am sometimes up to noon. So on Sunday  I decided to write down how I wanted my day to look.  I wrote down the times and activities I wanted to accomplish daily.  The reason for this is because I was noticing that there were days when I didn’t brush my teeth until 2 in the afternoon!

Here is how my list looks:

8:00  Wake up: Brush teeth and wash face

8:30 Breakfast and pick up house

9:30 Workout

10:30 Shower

11:00 Baby time

4:00  Get dinner started

That is it.  That is all that I wanted to make sure to accomplish daily.  Brush my teeth, eat and workout.  The rest of the day will be all about caring for Sam in any fashion.

I’ll have you know – I did it!  I got started on Monday morning.  I actually had to look at my list to remember what to do and how to do it in order to get my new routine started.  I have followed it for 3 days now and I really, really, like it.  Now, I can’t say that everyday is going to be smooth but then again, I can’t say that it won’t.  I suggest you sit down and write it out as broad or as narrow as you need to see it and then wake up and create it.  Add in any fun time, hobby time, bathtub time, meal time, anything that you want to have take place in your day.  There is time, believe me.  Know, that it may not occur at exactly 10:30am but when you consult your list and it will get done if you want it to.

I find it hard to start any program because it also has to involve my husband who cannot stick to any routine. Then, there goes my whole concept.

    Do you have any suggestions
